Vector, born Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, is celebrated as one of the best underground rappers from Mainland Lagos all the way to the Lagos Island. With his journey into hip-hop dating back to his high school years, he formed a group called “Badder Boiz” with 2 others though the group is now split up. Nonetheless, he still pursued his dream!
Vector’s versatility runs through the fast and equally slow tempo, a rapper cum lyricist, an excellent songwriter, and producer. Vector is an undisputed emcee endowed with freestyle skills and flair this he awesomely displays on several freestyle battles e.g. Channel O Lagos Party at the Vaults, Unilag Rap King Etc. He is officially signed to YSG Entertainment and is gearing up for the release of his first debut album dropping first quarter 2010. This album features an array of artist such as Chuddy K, Emmsong, Ade Piper, D-Gates with production from Sam Klef, Da Piano, J-Smith, Xela and Vibez Production, just to name a few.
His voice sounds a lot like JayZs’ to me. His songs though more on the medium tempo side are actually really good! Definitely updating my mp3 playlist!! Oh and if you think his voice sounds familiar, it probably does as he’s the voice behind the Sprite commercial currently airing on most radio stations across Nigeria.
