OOTV: Ty-coon
Born Abia Essien, Ty-coon’s love for music began at a very tender age at which state he decided to begin piano and guitar lessons as a means to familiarize himself with basic musical theory. By age 12, he had written his first lines and it only went on from there as he went on to participate in rap battles in high school.
A master freestyle artist and dedicated story teller, he draws inspiration from personal experiences, general life happenings and basically anything that he comes in contact with. As a performer, he has rocked the stage together with some of Nigeria’s finest, including M.I, Sauce Kid, Ikechuckwu and Banky W; and performed in clubs.
Currently signed on to Drumline entertainment, he’s ready to prove himself to the world as just not another rapper but a musician with a story to tell. Below are some of his tracks! Blaze is a party jam with a reggae touch to it. Love it!!
