Matt Sesoo, a Washington DC based rapper/singer/song writer who’s not new to collaborations has decided to commence work on his debut mixtape after co-writing songs for other artists for a while. Growing up in Abuja, his influences include the likes of Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur. With his music inspired by his life experiences and perception of others’ experiences, the industry insiders bill him to be a force to reckon with soon; his ability to weave seamlessly through different spheres of sound makes him quite unique.
His debut mixtape titled “The Endless Cool” which is expected to drop before summer 2010 under SpaceMan Music. To quote him; “it doesn’t have to explicitly ask you to dance before you dance, good music can’t be denied”.
He’s done quite a number of freestyles and they are honestly not bad! His latest freestyle is to Timberland’s “Say Something” track ft. Drake and Matt did a number on this! Of course, there’s nothing like the original but he’s not claiming to be better than the original either
