Born Adetunji Ogunkeye in Lagos, Tajie is a young and prolific songwriter/singer that brings to us nothing but raw and uncut talent. With his unique vocal style and cleverly composed style, his passion for music is evident. Though not born into a family of musicians, he has always embraced this passion of his. At the young age of 16, his peers recognized his talent and potential when he sang along to one of the hit singles “End of The Road” by Boys II men. Even though the response from his peers was a positive one, Tajie’s education came first and it wasn’t until his later years that he began to take music more seriously and started writing and performing.
His songs are personal and yet the kind of songs which he wishes his audience to connect to. Though he’s currently working and releasing singles from his upcoming mixtape: The Commercialz, he plans to release his self titled debut album soon.
There’s no doubt in my mind that this is one artist to watch out for. With a voice and musical style like his, he’ll be a talent to be reckoned with. I definitely have him on my radar and look forward to more of his work. I absolutely love the “She likes it” track. Personal favorite and the “Say something (remix)” is good too.
