Freewindz is a three man Afro hip-hop group that it comprises of 3 brothers (Prince Amako aka Prince, Kingsley Amako aka Sir K and Chike Amako aka Kendo) from Imo state , Owerri. All three are graduates, two were students of Imo State University with the last one as graduate of Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). Now living in Lagos, these three siblings do everything together as a group.
For this trio, it all started in the late quarter of 2006. Freewindz started first as an acapella group pioneered by Prince Sir K and Kendo with a sing titled “bedroom fever”. This song, according to the brothers, caught the attention of many and encouraged them to record this song and since then, the rest has been history. From performing at different shows with well known local and international acts to working with some of the big names in the industry, they are well on their way. Here’s their latest track featuring Faze of the old group- Plantashun boiz and DJ Zeez.
