Born Hans Willy, Yung Hanz is another new artist to hit the music scene. Yung Hanz picked up strong interest and love for music and started music performances from the tender age of 5 with influences literately handed down to him by his mother who loved Fela, Michael Jackson, Tina Turn, Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie and many other brilliant artistes of the 80’s.
He embraced music full time at the age of 16 when he started writing his own lyrics and composing music of 2 unique genre; reggae and rap. His unique music skill caught the attention of Austin “2Tek” Omoifo; the CEO of one of the finest labels in Nigeria; Roc-a-lot records.
Under the guidance of Roc-a-lot Records, Yung Hanz is being given the most professional approach and is quickly wrapping up a classic album titled; Book of Hanz with its 1st single called; FREAK already garnering major spins in radio stations and the second single DISPLAY which has a video just released is all ready taking over the streets, radio and television stations. “Display” was produced by the same producer that worked with Monemsis: RayX of Supersound music. It’s about time RayX starts getting recognized for his talents!
Judging from his first two singles, there’s no doubt he’s a force to be reckoned with. My favorite of his two singles is “Freak”. It features a different mix and vibe compared to the other songs emerging from Naija. What do you think?
