Born Oluyemi Ibiyemi, Mic On is a Festac-based artiste/producer in the mold of international acts like R Kelly, Neyo and Craig David. A graduate of Muson School of Music and the Lagos State University, Ojo, he first came int music as a producer and has made hits for W4, Cartiair, Solidstar and a host of others.
With his soulful voice, hot lyrics and skills on the guitar and piano, the R&B crooner and composer is set to take the center stage on the Nigerian music scene. His two singles Ye-Pa and Emafarawe which are self-produced, display his talent and ingenuity as an all-round musician.
Ye-pa is a R&B song in English, Pidgin and Yoruba with a sublime harmony and cool beats that places you in the mood for love. It tells the story of a guy declaring his love to the girl of his dreams.
Emafarawe (don’t copy!) is a hiphop flavoured statement featuring Cartiair, Shawn and the late Dagrin. It is an announcement of the Next Big Thing- Mic On!
