Out of the Vault: DJ Atte & Sazzy

Dj Atte born Seun Atte, is a professional deejay/ producer based in Nigeria and founder of B2B Entertainment. Born into a broadcast family (Jimmy ATTE of NTA), he grew up listening to different genres of music including Rock and Indie amongst others and is well known for playing our music: Naija music in every gig in the UK where he was formerly based. With influences like Kanye West, funk Masterflex, Dj Jimmy Jatt, Dj Premier, FELA and more, he has this to say: “they inspired me to do what I love” “I love music, without music I don’t know what would have become of me, music is my drug”

Sazzy, born Osaze Omonbude in Nigeria, is a free spirited producer/songwriter/singer who tends to mash pop, hip-hop, dance and afro-beat together to create an addictive and catchy sound. He describes his music as “indie-hop done by aliens trying to be human’’. Growing up listening to mostly international acts like the Nas, Jay-Z, Shade, Fugees, Fela and more, he has always had a dream to sing and produce internationally. With a strong love for Good music in any genre and a free mind in creativity, Sazzy is the type of act music needs.

Sazzy & Dj ATTE met in the UK where they both worked with a group called Down 2 Earth (D2E). Their relationship spawned off a project where they do music their way and host artists via their mixtape series.

The duo are set to release their mixtape titled “The Takeover” in 2010 which comprises of various artistes like 9ice, M.I, Ice Prince, 5Micz, Pherowshuz, African Rockstar and a host of popular and upcoming acts in the Nigerian industry. It showcases the production prowess of Sazzy while artiste mobilization and supervision on the album was covered by Dj Atte!
